THE LIFE OF CHRIST:
We’ve divided the Life of Christ up into 4 main courses: Pre-Ministry, 1st Year of Ministry, 2nd Year of Ministry, and His Final 18 Months. Below you’ll find a short description of each course.
The Pre-Ministry course examines many of the prophecies concerning the coming Messiah and His forerunner, John The Baptist. This portion of the portion of the chronological study will follow the Lofe of Christ from the announcement of His Birth through the first 30 years of His life.
1ST YEAR OF MINISTRY
Jesus’ first year of ministry begins with John The Baptist’s proclamation of the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. As Jesus is baptized, The Holy Spirit comes upon Him for the work He’s to fulfill over the next 3 1/2 years.
We will follow His steps and learn about His teachings and miracles as He turns water into wine, ministers to Nicodemus, the Samaritan woman at the well, calls His men to follow Him, as He follows the Father’s Will, and much more.
2ND YEAR OF MINISTRY
Jesus’ second year of ministry begins in Jerusalem where He heals the man at the pool of Bethesda, teaches in the Temple and gives many prophetic proofs of His Messiahship.
He then returns to Galilee where He names the Twelve Apostles, teaches the Sermon on the Mount, afterward the parables, the anointing and sending forth the Twelve by two’s, the feeding of the 5,000, walks on water, teaches multitudes at Capernaum. The second year has so much more.
HIS FINAL 18 MONTHS
Jesus spent His final Eighteen months in Jerusalem at the feast of tabernacles, John 7-10. After being rejected by the Sanhedrin, He went to the country side of Judea. He then returned to Jerusalem and from there He ministered in Perea for several months. Returning to Jerusalem, He raised Lazarus from the dead and was condemned to death by the High Priest.
At that point He went north to the dividing line of Galilee and Judea and healed the ten lepers, sending them back to the High Priest. From there He went to Perea and minister to the jews there until His final week of ministry.
At that point Her returned to Jerusalem to last death for all mankind. He was glorified in His Resurrection and afterward ascended into the presence of His Father.
